Forest | Meadows | Wine

A particularly mild climate has made our region the Franconian wine country. A typical Franconian grape variety is the Silvaner, whose first Franconian vine was planted in 1659 in Castell. That is why the more than 1200-year-old place is also known as the Silvanerresidenz. Numerous wine festivals, wine tastings with local winegrower families or in the Heckenwirtschaft allow you to experience the Franconian way of life and wine culture up close.

The Steigerwald with its predominantly natural forestry is an oasis of peace and relaxation. Not overcrowded, you can explore the mixed forests in solitude and maybe watch deer, rabbits or other wild animals. Flora and fauna are diverse and have their charm in every season.

Main, horticulture, fields, fields, vineyards, forest, natural meadows are typical of our region and exert a very special attraction. Let yourself be enchanted by this region, where the world is still in order.
